Keele ranked No.1 in the West Midlands for Medicine
Keele has been ranked as the best university in the region to study Medicine in a newly released ranking.
The university was ranked No.1 in the West Midlands for Medicine in the Complete University Guide 2027 which has recently been published, which also saw Keele ranked No.1 in the UK for Graduate Outcomes in this subject
The guide judges universities on a number of factors including research quality, student satisfaction with teaching, and graduate employment prospects upon graduation, drawing on data from a variety of sources including the National Student Survey and the Research Excellence Framework.
Medical students at Keele benefit from extensive links with our local and regional hospitals and healthcare trusts, as well as GP and community healthcare settings, providing an excellent level of 'hands-on' experience with patients in a wide variety of settings.
Over 200 of the University's healthcare academics can be found working on the NHS frontline across Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire and Shropshire, bringing real-world experience back to the classroom with them.
Keele students also benefit from modern, well-equipped teaching facilities and teaching from research-active members of staff, as well as a small cohort size giving them deeper levels of engagement with their tutors and fellow students.
