Keele sport courses accredited by top industry body
A prestigious accreditation awarded to two sport courses at Keele University will give students the chance to gain additional professional qualifications throughout their degrees.
The Sport and Exercise Science, and Rehabilitation and Exercise Science courses at Keele University have both been accredited by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity following a recent assessment, highlighting the applied practical skills that students learn on each of these courses.
The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) is the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector. CIMSPA sets the standards for excellence across the industry and works closely with employers, training providers, and universities to ensure that qualifications meet real-world needs.
CIMSPA’s endorsement is a mark of quality and relevance, signalling that Keele’s courses align with the professional standards required by employers across the sector—from gyms and leisure centres to elite sports organisations and community health initiatives.
This accreditation allows students to gather gym instructor and personal trainer awards during the first and second years of their courses.
