Keele becomes first Higher Education institution to join CASES Accreditation Partnership Scheme
Keele University has become the first Higher Education institution to be accepted onto the CASES Accreditation Partnership Scheme - reflecting its commitment to excellence in sport and exercise science education and professional development.
As the professional body for sport and exercise sciences in the UK, CASES develops partnerships with key employers in the sector to raise standards of practice, and support sport and exercise scientists to develop in their careers. Keele follows in the footsteps of the UK Institute of Sport, and Premier League football clubs Everton and Newcastle United in achieving official accreditation status.
By joining the scheme, the University will strengthen its ability to prepare students for successful, impactful careers and ensure that graduates are equipped to meet industry standards and expectations.
The partnership also reflects Keele’s dedication to supporting both the wellbeing and professional progression of its staff and students, as well as maintaining best practice in safeguarding.
Dr Clare Pheasey, Programme Director and Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science at Keele, said: “We are delighted to be the first university to partner with CASES through this prestigious accreditation scheme. It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing our students with the highest quality education and to ensuring that our graduates are recognised as competent, ethical, and forward-thinking professionals in the sport and exercise science field."
Dr Paul Jones FCASES, Chair of CASES Accreditation Advisory Group, said: “We are delighted to accept Keele University as the first Higher Education institution on the CASES Accreditation Partnership Scheme.
