Human Anatomy
Develop expertise as an anatomist with a comprehensive understanding of the human body’s structure and functions. Our Human Anatomy programme offers advanced insights into clinically applied anatomy, equipping you with essential skills and knowledge for careers in healthcare, education, or research. At Keele, you’ll benefit from direct, on-site access to a state-of-the-art anatomy and surgical training centre, world-class teaching labs, and hands-on experience, including cadaveric dissection.
Pharmaceutical Science and Bioengineering
Keele has a well-established School of Allied Health Professions and Pharmacy, and School of Life Sciences offering courses in, Bioengineering (Regenerative Medicine) and Pharmaceutical Science. They have strong links with major employers and offers a high-quality learning experience suitable for students with an interest in healthcare from a scientific and professional perspective.
Rehabilitation and Exercise Science
Rehabilitation is the process by which strategies are employed in the promotion, maintenance and restoration of an individual’s physical, psychological and social wellbeing, and encompasses variations in age and health status. At Keele, you will investigate the many factors that influence rehabilitation management and its success as well as explore subjects including anatomy, physiology, human movement, exercise and interpersonal skills. We offer programmes in Rehabilitation and Exercise Science, Sport and Exercise Psychology and Sport and Exercise Science.
Biosciences
If you saw Medicine as the route for you because you are of an enquiring mind and wanted to make new discoveries in biomedicine, then you may find a subject like Biomedical Sciences an exciting and rewarding choice for a career in medical research. You may eventually consider progression to a Master's or PhD in this field, which is a popular option for biomedical science students once they have completed their undergraduate degree. Keele offers a range of courses in the field of Biosciences including Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Biology, Bioveterinary Science, Microbiology and Immunology, Neuroscience and Pharmacology.
Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry
Our courses in Chemistry with Medicinal Chemistry place heavy emphasis on professional skills including oral and written communication skills, practical and analytical laboratory skills, problem-solving and other graduate attributes. The goal of medicinal chemistry is to support the search for new drugs to treat conditions such as heart disease, obesity and cancer. You’ll work in well-equipped laboratories and will be taught by a team of engaging academics who deliver courses that consistently achieve excellent levels of student satisfaction.
