Our degree programmes offer students the chance to build up excellent subject knowledge, and develop their skills through high quality teaching and innovative assessment. Our courses place heavy emphasis on professional skills including oral and written communication skills, practical and analytical laboratory skills, problem solving and other graduate attributes. We believe that 21st century chemistry graduates must have an extensive portfolio of skills, both subject specific and transferrable, in order to be competitive in finding a career. All of our students will have the choice to undertake a research project in their final year under the guidance of an academic member of staff.

The Keele Chemistry courses are renowned for their innovation and novel ways of teaching both experimental and theoretical chemistry. For more details about our Innovation in Teaching Excellence.
