Prunus 'Kouka

Prunus 'Kouka' Raised by Mr Masatoshi Asari in 1965, having deep-red main veins, different from cv.'Sekiyama' or 'Kirin'. Named for its red flowers as Koka – literally red flowers in Japanese. Medium large semi-double pale pink flowers flushed with deep pink.

Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit 2012.

Location

  • One specimen by boundary wall opposite running track; Square G4/H3; Tag 4106. Planted  in 2009.
