Biography
Steph completed a Dual Honours degree in Psychology & Sociology at Keele University in 2007 and became an Occupational Therapist in 2011. Steph has worked as a Lecturer in Higher Education since 2022.
Clinically, Steph has worked supporting people with Mental Health conditions, but most of her career was spent supporting individuals with Dementia. Steph has also had previous roles in Children and Adolescent Mental Health and has worked as a Research Assistant at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Teaching
Steph is passionate about supporting students to develop confidence and competence in occupation-centred practice. Steph enjoys teaching about contemporary Occupational Therapy practice areas and exploring how to support students through varied assessment methods.
Further information
Steph has received training in Sue Parkinson’s Occupational Formulation approach which provides a practical, theory-driven framework for translating assessment into actionable, measurable goals, supporting occupation-centered practice across diverse clinical settings.
