Biography

Ali Khan graduated from Pakistan Institute of Prosthetic and Orthotic Sciences in 2010. After working for one year as a Centre In charge in PRSP Pakistan, Ali moved to Malaysia in2012 to work as a dual practicing prosthetist and orthotist. He then completed his Master in Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Technology from University of Dundee, in 2017. After completion of master’s degree, Ali moved back to Malaysia and joined University of Malaya, as a technical head prosthetist. His role included seconded teaching to students of Biomedical Engineering (P&O) placement students and member of Industry Advisory panel.

Ali transitioned his career in United Kingdom and worked as a Senior Prosthetist in Cambridge for three years, prior to joining Keele University as a Lecturer in Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2023.

Ali’s interests include lower limb biomechanics using sophisticated Vicon Nexus Motion Analysis system.

Teaching

Ali’s teaching expertise include advanced lower and upper limb prosthetics.
