November is Academic Writing month!

WriteFest (#AcWriFest18) is part of Keele University's contribution to Academic Writing Month and occurs in November.  It is a collaboration with the Universities of Sheffield, Exeter, Manchester, Bristol, Kings College London, Sheffield Hallam, Liverpool, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Derby and Adelaide!

WriteFest will bring together people from across the University to recognise and celebrate writing.  The month will consist of a selection of workshops to help you write and writing retreats to provide you with the space to write.

Use the hashtag #AcWriFest18 to celebrate your writing.

The festival aims to provide protected time and space for writing to help you work on:

Writing Retreats

To attend a writing retreat. Choose the ones(s) that suit you best and book your place using Keele People or the link given.

Then, simply bring your laptop, or pen and paper along. This 1 min video, from Sheffield University, covers what the retreat sessions will, and won't (!) involve.
Please arrive in plenty of time, and stay for the full session.

Interested in running your own writing retreats? The Think Ahead team at Sheffield University have put together a guide to give you an idea of how to structure and facilitate the event. If you run a retreat during November, please let us know!
