Keele University Students’ Union and Keele Postgraduate Association combining resources to become one organisation
Keele University Students’ Union and Keele Postgraduate Association have today announced that they will be combining their resources and becoming a single organisation.
This change means the two unions will work together to design a new, unified structure for student representation, advice and support at Keele, ensuring activities, opportunities and support for all students is consistent, stronger, and more effective, as well as being more sustainable for the future.
The KPA Clubhouse will remain a dedicated postgraduate space with the same identity, atmosphere, and purpose, and postgraduate students will continue to have an independent, student-led voice focused on postgraduate needs.
The changes to the organisations will also not affect any of the events, facilities, or support that is offered by either of the organisations currently; both organisations’ resources will simply be combined to better support our whole student community.
The process is expected to be completed by the summer, and has been fully supported by the SU, the KPA, and the University.
Students and staff are invited to share thoughts, suggestions, or concern in relation to the KPA and SU becoming a single representative entity from summer 2026 using this feedback form.
