Keele climbs in three national league tables
Keele has climbed in three prestigious national university league tables, to now rank firmly in the Top 50 in each.
The University now ranks 43rd in the UK in the Guardian University Guide 2026, Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026, and Daily Mail University Guide 2026, which have all been recently published.
Furthermore, 14 different subjects at Keele also rank in the Top 10 in England across the different league tables, including:
- Forensic Science
- International Relations
- Physiotherapy
- Midwifery
- English
- Medicine
- Mathematics
- Geography
- Pharmacy
- Politics
- Radiography
- Creative Writing
- Nursing
- Children’s Nursing
All three of these league tables assess universities on a range of factors including research quality, graduate prospects, and teaching excellence.
Professor Mark Ormerod OBE, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Provost of Keele University, said: “I’m delighted to see how strongly Keele has performed across the three recently published Times, Guardian, and Mail university league tables, with Keele's strong rise in all three rankings highlighting the strengths and quality of the University across a wide range of important metrics and the positive difference we make to our students’ learning and future opportunities.
“Not only have we recorded a strong, and very significantly improved, overall performance in all three league tables, but I’m particularly pleased that many of our subject areas are also ranked highly, with many subjects across all three of our Faculties ranked within the Top 10 in England, and No.1 in the West Midlands in many cases.
“This outcome is very encouraging and reflects the sustained effort from colleagues across the University to support our students and further enhance the quality of our teaching and student experience and strengthen our outcomes."
