Summer 2026
David Penn (Class of 1980, English & Sociology and Social Anthropology)
Having enjoyed life as a casual writer since his graduation in 1980, English and Sociology Graduate, David Penn, celebrates the publication of his debut poetry pamphlet, Birdmen and Astronauts. Publishing under the pseudonym 'Dharmavadana', a name he was given upon joining the Buddhist order in 2005, his poetry explores masculinity, coming-of-age, relationships, and more.
Katie Davis (Class of 2023, Geography, Geology, and Environment)
After graduating in July 2023, Katie Davis channelled her Geography, Geology, and Environment (GGE) degree into secondary school teacher training with a geography specialism. As a full-time teacher and House Leader at her school, Katie was fondly reminded of her time at Keele when showing her own students the GGE video that she herself stars in!
Hannah Azizollah (Class of 1976, Economics and Psychology)
Psychology and Economics graduate Hannah Azizollah is celebrating her 50-year ‘golden graduation this year’. After graduating from Keele in 1976, Hannah completed a Masters in Industrial Psychology at Hull University. She went on to a rewarding and varied career in occupational psychology which she continues to enjoy through occasional and pro-bono work. To this day, her alter-ego ‘Psychologist Hannah’ frequently enters conversations to share deep thoughts, meaning and wisdom e.g. how Keele has profoundly shaped her life and work and possibly many other Alumni
Ian Duncan (Class of 1989, English & Roman Studies)
Despite spending the last 30 living and working in Japan, English & Roman Studies graduate Ian Duncan’s most recent poetry collection celebrates local lore. ‘Capturing the atmosphere of Stoke-starting summer nights and paying homage to local icons’, T-Shirts and Trebuchets (available on Amazon) is inspired by Ian’s golden years at Keele.
