Course documents for current students

Information and documents for current students must be hosted on the Keele Learning Environment (KLE) rather than on the main Keele University website (including school or faculty pages). Information relating to a current course should be hosted on its associated entry in the KLE so that students can access all of their necessary documents in one place. You are encouraged to keep this area up-to-date throughout each academic year and to take advantage of the technologies that are avialable to you to more effectively deliver material to your students.

Some examples of documents that should be hosted on the KLE are:

  • Teaching materials (handouts, lecture slideshows, etc)
  • Course handbooks
  • Module timetables
  • Student handbooks

This list is not exhaustive, as each course will likely have specific documents that are unique to it that should still be hosted on the KLE. These could be documents relating to safety procudes, the specific details of fields trips, or other documents that are not part of the outward-facing marketing materials. If you are unsure whether a document should be placed on the KLE, please contact the Web Support team via the Self-Service Portal and they will be able to advise.

If you would like further support with using the KLE you can contact the Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence (KIITE) for further advice on how the KLE and other technologies can be used to enhance your teaching practises.
