Accessible tables
Tables on keele.ac.uk are styled automatically, use users only need to add a table and the styling will be taken care of - including for mobile. All tables have a default border of 1px.
Tables must be made using appropriate markup to ensure that they are rendered properly by assistive technologies. Tables must not be used extensively for layout.
Table headers should never be empty. This is particularly of concern for the top-left cell of some tables.
Right click on the first row of your table, select 'Table Row Properties' and change the 'Row Type' to 'Header'.
