Hi, I'm Pensee Wu, a clinical academic at Keele University.

I also work in the hospital at the University Hospital of North Midlands as a consultant obstetrician, specializing in maternal medicine.

So, essentially, I look after pregnancies and manage the day-to-day aspects of my job. I bring that clinical experience back to Keele on my research days, where I reflect on the problems we encounter in the NHS clinics and explore how research can address those questions.

Understanding what happens day to day in hospitals is crucial. Therefore, I ensure that my research and teaching reflect the realities on the ground.

Recently, I conducted research examining the effects of fertility treatments on pregnancy outcomes. This study received significant feedback from the community and the media. Recognizing the importance and interest it generated, I felt proud that the work I do has a substantial impact on people's lives.
