Meet Professor Heidi Fuller, Head of School of Allied Health Professions & Pharmacy at Keele University.
This video was published on 21 November 2025.
Hello, my name is Professor Heidi Fuller and I'm Head of School for Allied Health Professions and Pharmacy here at Keele. Welcome to our school.
Our programmes are designed to give you an exceptional breadth of experience across both the theoretical and practical elements of your profession. Once you graduate, you'll be fully prepared to deliver high quality patient care as well as be prepared for what the twenty-first century of healthcare brings. Alongside of this, you'll have the opportunity to explore how you can embed research within your careers.
In our school, we promote an ethos of inclusivity, respect and kindness. As our students, we also consider you as our future colleagues and we're here to support you. We promote the NHS Kindness and Positivity Network to support colleagues and you, as our students, to be your very best selves and to help each other.
We're also really proud in our school to host a Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Clinic. This clinic provides an opportunity for some student placements, particularly for students studying on the Physiotherapy programme. In addition, we're really proud of our newly refurbished sports centre facilities.
Being able to work in a multi professional team is key to success. When you're a practising healthcare worker or clinician, you'll need to work alongside other healthcare professionals and we're keen that you have the opportunity to experience and develop these skills and understanding from early on in your programme.
We're really fortunate in our school that we have a very diverse range of programmes and you'll have an opportunity to mix with students from these programmes from early on.
We also have activities where you'll be able to meet and learn alongside students from our other schools in the faculty, including Medicine and Nursing & Midwifery.
Professional regulatory bodies have approved relevant programmes and we also have approval from the Health and Care Professions Council for all in-scope programmes.
We're proud of our league table results and we're also proud of the facilities that we have to offer you here at Keele. These include state-of-the-art simulation facilities, X-ray suite, digital imaging hub, health houses, a prosthetics and orthotics workshop, a movement lab, an exercise lab, as well as the Central Science Laboratories and a 3D lecture theatre.
We look forward to welcoming you to the start of your healthcare careers and we can't wait to go on this journey with you and see where it takes you.
