Studying Accounting has helped me to understand the story behind the numbers.
So I chose Accounting at Keele because when I was younger, I always enjoyed working with numbers.
So at Keele in the Accounting course, we study both financial accounting and management accounting. And then we've also covered taxation both on a personal and company level.
Studying Accounting has helped me to understand why businesses make certain decisions. Specifically management accounting.
It's got so many factors in that you realise how hard it is for a business to make decisions and how many factors are in play at times.
Some of the skills we learned, such as managing cash flows, which we cover in our tutorials and our exams, they're quite useful down the line because whether you join an accountancy firm or anywhere in the finance world, it's a useful skill to know and it's very much relevant.
I found the student community at Keele very warm, very welcoming. I think everyone's very kind. Everyone's here to learn to help each other thrive.
I think it's amazing to be honest.
