University Mental Health Day 2026

To mark University Mental Health Day on Thursday 12th March and to support this year’s theme of human connection, our teams from across the University will be holding events to share the variety of wellbeing support available at Keele, as well as in the local area. Alongside our University and Students’ Union teams, external partners will also be available to talk about how to manage your mental health and wellbeing over a cup of free tea and coffee.

Alternatively, if you would prefer to take part in mindfulness activities, why not take part in one of our sound bath sessions, get creative in a craft session, or head to the Tawney building to meet therapy dogs Violet and Mozart?

Too Young for an Existential Crisis?
examines how environment shapes psychological presence, placing readers, thinkers, and quiet wanderers in serene, nature-infused interiors. These scenes offer a gentle retreat from a culture defined by constant connectivity, comparison, and digital overstimulation.

Walk the Labyrinth – A Journey of Reflection

10am-4pm in the Chapel

Labyrinths are an ancient method of reflection, meditation, or prayer, which can be used by people of any faith or none to help focus and calm the mind.

A labyrinth has a single circuitous path that winds its way into the centre and back to the exit. It’s not a maze – there are no tricks to it, and no dead ends. In fact, it’s the exact opposite: rather than trying to make us lose our way, it’s designed to help us find it.

Drop into the Chapel any time as instructions will be provided.
