Ukraine crisis

Our thoughts are with everyone who has been impacted by the events in Ukraine. If you are worried or have been affected, we are here to help you.

Students

Our student services team are here for you throughout the year and can help you with a range of things including counselling and mental health support. You can email the team at student.services@keele.ac.uk.

We also have access to a 24/7 confidential helpline through Health Assured. As well as the helpline, Keele students also have access to digital resources to help them. Find out more about Health Assured.

Our chaplaincy team are also here to support you. If you need to take a quiet moment, our Chapel is open every day and is a good place to take a moment to sit and reflect.

If you need academic support, you can contact your Student Experience and Support Officer, or the Advice and Support team at Keele Students’ Union.

Please also speak to your academic mentor if you’re concerned about how the situation may affect your ability to study or conduct research.

If you are an international student and are concerned about your Visa or travel arrangements, our Immigration Compliance team can help you. Contact the team by emailing visa@keele.ac.uk.

We also have access to the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Wellbeing Service. This service specialises in offering effective treatments for conditions including anxiety and low mood.

Staff

If you are particularly affected by the conflict, please do speak to your line manager or your HR Employee Relations link person. You can also seek support from our Staff Counselling team.

Charity donations

We encourage donations to the Ukraine Crisis appeal run by the Disasters Emergency Committee. By donating to this appeal, items can be bought in collaboration with Ukrainian authorities in locations of need. In addition, Unicef, The Red CrossUN Refugees, and United Help Ukraine are also helping those in need.
