An update on semester 1 timetables
As we head into the start of semester one of the 2026/27 academic year, we wanted to provide you with an update on academic timetabling.
We appreciate that delays to timetables being finalised can be incredibly frustrating, and potentially upsetting, for our students. Last year we embarked on a project to bring in a new timetabling system and associated updated processes, to improve timetabling across the University in response to student and staff feedback.
We know that having a confirmed timetable is important not just for planning your studies, but other commitments outside of study, including work, caring responsibilities, and family commitments. We apologise that in some cases, we have not yet been able to provide a finalised timetable for the upcoming semester.
Our Timetabling team is currently working through change requests as quickly as possible, and is prioritising changes according to when teaching sessions are due to take place.
We will also soon be turning on change notifications, which will mean you’ll receive an email when a session you were due to attend in the next 7 days gets updated. The start of semester one tends to be a period with higher levels of change, so you may receive a number of emails during this time.
Our priority is to minimise disruption to our students, and to ensure you have access to the most accurate timetable information possible. Your timetable will immediately update on your Outlook calendar and at https://timetabler.keele.ac.uk, and will update overnight each night on the Keele App – please make sure you keep checking your timetable regularly.
If you have questions or concerns about your timetable, support is available through the Student Enquiries Pop-up in Chancellor’s Building, Monday to Friday 10am-4pm until Friday 2nd October, or by emailing timetabling@keele.ac.uk.
Thank you for your continued patience as we work to finalise timetables and support you in having a successful start to the academic year. We’ll continue to keep you updated as progress is made.
