Changed your Mind

If you have decided that you want to change any of the options you choose during the module selection window you can do so using the online form here.

Module change dates:

Language Modules - Monday 7 September to Friday 9 October 2026. We must make an assessment to understand the most appropriate level of language you should be registered on. You must therefore complete an online registration form for modern languages before any changes can be actioned.

All other modules - Monday 7 September 2026 - Friday 16 October 2026.

After this time, it will not be possible to make any changes to modules that have started in Semester 1. You will have a further opportunity to change Semester 2 options in the New Year. 

Please note: if you are wanting to change onto a placement module then you MUST speak to colleagues in the Placement Team before this can be approved. The codes for these modules can be found here. 

Here are some key things to consider when completing the form:

• Is your new module part of the programme you are studying? If not, then your request will be declined. You can check this by looking at your programme specification here
• Do the modules you want to add equal the same credit weighting as those you want to replace? For example if you want to add a 30 credit module then you MUST choose 30 credits of modules to remove. If this is not the case then your request will be declined and no changes will be made to your record.
• Are there any pre-requisites to studying the module you want to add and have you met these? You can find this out by clicking on the module code within the programme specification using the link above.

Some modules have a limit on the number of students who can be registered in any year. Some of the reasons for this may be specialist equipment, space in laboratories or number of licenses. If you have chosen a module that already has the maximum number of student on it, we will contact you and ask you to complete the form again with a new module. If you do not submit a new form we will assume that you do not want to make any changes.

If you are thinking of changing your modules after teaching has started we advise that you speak with the school teaching your new module. They will be able to give you advice on what material you may have missed. It will be your responsibility to ensure that you catch up on this material.
