Research and scholarship

Main areas of research interest:

  • Kantian philosophy (esp. philosophy of religion, relation to Pietism and early modern philosophy, and pre-Critical works)
  • Schopenhauer’s philosophy (esp. metaphilosophy, philosophy of religion, idealism, pessimism, relation to Indian philosophy)
  • Early modern philosophy (esp. Anne Conway, Leibniz, Hume)

My current focus is on a monograph examining the philosophy of Anne Conway, which is due to be published next year. I am also working on papers related to my research interests in Kant's philosophy of religion and Schopenhauer's metaphilosophy.
