Wilder Connections – co-designing participatory biodiversity uplift as Longton, Stoke on Trent, levels up
Wilder Connections brought together Urban Wilderness and Keele University to co-design and deliver community-led biodiversity and arts-based engagement in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
Through nature walks, creative workshops, and digital tools like iNaturalist, the project empowered over 130 participants to connect with urban green spaces. The initiative has sparked ongoing volunteer opportunities and laid the groundwork for future locally-focused research and regeneration efforts.
