Community Climate Skills: Understanding and tackling knowledge and skills gaps in community climate action

This project explored the knowledge and skills gaps faced by community groups in taking effective climate action.

Through workshops, interviews, and targeted events, the project revealed that groups often need support with ‘soft’ skills—like volunteer management, digital engagement, and working with schools—rather than scientific knowledge. The findings are already shaping local support strategies, fostering new partnerships, and informing future initiatives through the Staffordshire Green Network.
