Community Climate Action: Keele, Councils and Communities Working Together

Led by Climate Matters Staffordshire in partnership with Keele University and local government, the Community Climate Action project brought together residents, experts, and policymakers to explore practical responses to climate change.

Through two participatory events in Newcastle-under-Lyme, the project engaged underrepresented communities in climate dialogue, supported by expert facilitation and presentations on energy use, retrofit, and local policy. The initiative has strengthened local climate networks, inspired follow-up community action, and laid the groundwork for deeper collaboration between citizens and councils on the path to net zero.
