Hasan Almanae

Biography

Hasan began his academic journey at the University of Aberdeen, studying genetics, which led to his role as a crime scene investigator in the Ministry of Interior's General Department of Criminal Evidence in Kuwait. He spent eight years at the Kuwait Identification DNA Lab (KIDL), specializing in DNA analysis.

He later joined the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences as a faculty member, teaching crime scene essentials. He was awarded a scholarship and completed an MSc in Forensic Archaeology and Crime Scene Investigation with distinction at Bradford University before becoming a postgraduate researcher at Keele University.

His research focuses on forensic searches in aquatic environments. His master’s dissertation explored the survival of bloody and latent fingerprints on plastic and stainless steel submerged in water. Hasan aims to advance water searches for missing persons by integrating new technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
