Biography
I obtained a First-Class MSci degree in Forensic Analytical Investigation from Keele University in 2025 and am currently a postgraduate researcher at Keele. My research is situated within the field of Forensic Taphonomy, with a particular focus on the progression of decomposition in human remains with sharp force trauma present. Through this work, I aim to enhance the postmortem interpretation of traumatised bodies, contributing to improved accuracy and reliability in forensic research and casework. My research title is: An Investigation of Decomposition Processes in Remains with Sharp Force Trauma.
Alongside my postgraduate studies, I work as a Demonstrator on the Forensic Science programmes at Keele. In this role, I support the delivery of practical teaching sessions, demonstrate specialised forensic techniques, and uphold laboratory health and safety standards.
Amy is part of the Forensic Geoscience Research Group.
