Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey
We are keen to make sure postgraduate students have the best possible experience while studying at Keele University, and by participating in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES), our postgraduate students can give us feedback to help us to improve.
Eligible students will receive a link to complete the survey by email. Please take some time to complete between Monday 28th April and Friday 13th June. As a thank you for your time, you will be entered into a prize draw with a chance to win £1,000.
Student feedback is important to us, and we are committed to acting on feedback to improve the student experience at Keele. You can see some examples of how we've acted on student feedback, on a University-level and at a School-level, on our You Said, We Did web page. We have also put together a short reel on Instagram to show how we have acted on feedback - you can watch that here.
If you are thinking about taking part this year, these are the answers to some of the questions students often ask:
- The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) is designed for taught postgraduate students, exploring their experience of learning and teaching, skills development, organisation, resources, and engagement with the course.
- PTES takes place every year. At Keele, the survey is open from the 28th April 2025 to the 13th June 2025.
- The survey is administered by institutions, supported by Advance HE, and uses the JISC survey platform.
The Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey is our chance to better understand your academic experience. The results help us compare how we are doing with other institutions, to make improvements where necessary and to keep doing the things that you value. This will help improve the experience of students like you in the future.
PTES concentrates on your academic experience and includes:
- Teaching and learning
- Engagement
- Assessment and feedback
- Organisation and management
- Skills development
Your feedback is important. Over 100 universities and colleges are taking part this year. This means we can compare your experience against similar postgraduates at other institutions to see if we are supporting your learning as we should. We use the findings to improve our courses and the learning experience for future students.
Your information will be stored securely and kept for no longer than necessary for the purposes of the PTES survey. This survey is run by Keele University in conjunction with Advance HE and JISC and the survey is optional to complete.
