Rose Le

Biography

Rose is a Lecturer in Psychology and HCPC-registered Health Psychologist. She holds a Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University and is a Fellow of Advance HE. Prior to joining Keele, she taught undergraduate and postgraduate psychology at Liverpool John Moores University and worked in applied health psychology settings. Her interests centre on health behaviour change, wellbeing, and the translation of psychological research into meaningful learning experiences and real-world practice. She is particularly passionate about making health psychology accessible and relevant to diverse student populations.

Research and scholarship

Her research and scholarship interests include health behaviour change, community approaches to wellbeing, and compassion-focused approaches. Her doctoral research explored experiences of community gardening in areas of high socioeconomic deprivation in Scotland, drawing on Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis and the COM-B model, with implications for green social prescribing and community wellbeing initiatives.

Teaching

Rose teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate psychology, with particular interests in health psychology and behaviour change. Her teaching emphasises applying psychological theory to real-world health and wellbeing challenges and creating engaging, inclusive learning experiences.
