ILAS PostGrad Conference: Connecting and constructing across the disciplines

Posted on 20 January 2017
Friday 28th April 2017 | 12.00 - 4.00pm | Keele Hall Ballroom

Closing date for abstracts: Monday 27th February 2017

Postgraduate students are invited to present their research, dissertation project and course-related posters to a cross disciplinary audience of peers, students and staff at the second Institute of Liberal Arts and Science Postgraduate Conference.

The Conference, titled Crossing Paths: Connecting and constructing across the disciplines, will celebrate the diversity and range of postgraduate work in the University and offers a different and alternative opportunity, in addition to those already available within the faculties and research institutes.

Students are encouraged to share their work-in-progress, and the challenge is to communicate this in an accessible and inspiring way to an informed, but non-specialist audience. Participants are expected to present their work as a poster, although artefacts or performance may also be offered and we will be inviting abstracts, or poster titles to be included in the conference handbook.

This year a special Conference edition of JADE will be produced; all conference abstracts will be included and papers will be invited from all presenters.

The programme for the day will include lunch, refreshments, a poster competition with prizes and a keynote.
