Welcome to the
Impact Accelerator Unit
The Impact Accelerator Unit (IAU) has the leading role in closing the evidence-to-practice gap, by accelerating both the uptake and impact of research evidence. By working with stakeholders to create innovations which arise from research, and offering solutions to our partners' problems, we are able to ensure that there is a positive and sustained impact on public health, and health and social care - maximising the benefits of world-leading health and social care research to improve the quality of life for patients and the public.

Click the box above to download the OA management programmes (OAMPs). The IAU and the Joint Effort Initiative Implementation Group (endorsed by Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI)) have identified online, evidence based, international OAMPs in response to the covid-19 pandemic. This repository provides solutions for healthcare professionals seeking to access and signpost patients with OA to remote, high-quality programmes that do not require face to face contact. It also provides healthcare practitioner resources for online training in delivering OA management programmes.
