“Real world” pain outcomes and experiences of care

The MIDAS-GP Study

Recruitment is now closed to the MIDAS GP study.  Thank you to all those participants who took part in the study.

Many thanks to everyone who completed their questionnaires.  You helped to raise £4,808 in the process which was donated to four local Stoke on Trent and North Staffordshire charities - Alice Charity, Haywood Foundation, Stoke on Trent Food Bank and North Staffs MIND.

Researchers at Keele University are working with NHS health professionals to find out how to improve treatment for people with painful conditions like back, neck, joint or muscle problems and osteoarthritis (musculoskeletal conditions). We need accurate information from patients and the public to do this.

We want to develop a fuller picture of musculoskeletal health, risk, and care across North Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent to provide more useful, timely and trustworthy evidence for policymakers, planners, health professionals, and the public.

The MIDAS-GP Study is funded by the Nuffield Foundation, supported by Keele Clinical Trials Unit and registered on the ISRCTN Registry. To find out more, click on the links below.
