Biography
Steve Gray has been a Lecturer for the Counselling and Psychotherapy Programme (Placements) at Keele University since 2019. Prior to entering academia, he worked in the voluntary sector for over 20 years, primarily as an Advocate across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, managing several advocacy teams during this time.
In 2013, Steve was appointed Director of Operations and CEO of an advocacy organisation in Staffordshire.
Alongside his current academic role, Steve continues to practise as a counsellor within a hospice setting. He has also served as a board trustee for several third sector organisations, contributing to their governance and strategic direction.
Steve holds an undergraduate degree in Politics, an MA in Social Work, and an MSc in Counselling Psychology.
