Biography
Dr Payam Amini is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Keele University’s School of Medicine. With a PhD in Biostatistics, his work focuses on advanced statistical modelling in health data, including causal inference, longitudinal and multilevel modelling, and machine learning.
Dr Amini has an extensive teaching portfolio in medical statistics and research methods across undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications.
At Keele, he contributes to research on musculoskeletal conditions and health inequalities, and is actively involved in projects funded by UKRI and NIHR.
Research and scholarship
Payam has a research interests in the development and application of causal inference, (multilevel) joint modelling, spatial analysis, and machine learning approaches.
