Biography

Leigh is a Lecturer in Paramedic Science. Previously a Senior Advanced Clinical Practitioner in a busy emergency department, he worked at the forefront of UK paramedic practice, led pathway redesign, improved patient flow and waiting times, and mentored advanced practitioners.

He is an experienced educator who has designed and delivered a range of clinical programmes. An ALS Instructor with Resuscitation Council UK and an Instructor Candidate (IC2) for the European Trauma Course, he delivers teaching that is practical, engaging and clinically grounded.

With a strong background in health technology, innovation and leadership, he also serves as Chief Technology Officer of a healthcare software company whose referral and workflow platform is used within the NHS to improve safety, support decision-making and save clinicians time. Across these clinical, educational, innovation and leadership roles, Leigh has developed the breadth of expertise associated with Consultant Paramedic practice, reflecting a sustained commitment to advancing paramedic practice and improving patient outcomes.
