My research interests span musculoskeletal health for older adults, equitable person-centred care, and dementia. I have worked on studies using a variety of methods and approaches, including mixed methods, intervention development and process evaluations, epidemiology and trials, and applied qualitative research.
I have worked in the Keele Osteoporosis Research Group since 2019, delivering research projects such as:
- The iFraP study to develop and test an osteoporosis decision aid to facilitate shared decisions about osteoporosis medicines
- The INDEX study to optimise patient and healthcare professional understanding of bone density scans
In 2025, I was awarded an NIHR Advanced Fellowship to complete the ‘DOMINO’ study which aims to explore how to optimise osteoporosis medicine use for people with dementia.
