Chloe Lambert

Biography

Academic Background: Chloé completed a MA in Social Work at the University of Edinburgh and a BA(Hons) In English Language and Literature at the University of Leeds. Chloé has also completed Post Graduate Free Standing Modules at the University of Chester to achieve professional qualifications as a Best Interest Assessor and Practice Educator.

Professional Experience: Chloé is a Registered Social Worker with 18 years of experience of working in Adult Social Care, including experience of working in hospital discharge, a Stroke Multi-disciplinary rehab team and Community Adult Social Care. Chloé has particular interest and experience of working with Adult's with Learning Disabilities. As a trained Best Interest Assessor (DoLS), Chloe has experience of working within complex legal frameworks. As a Practice Educator, Chloé has supported undergraduate, post-graduate and apprentice students to succeed, as well as supporting Newly Qualified Social Workers to complete their Assessed Year in Employment (ASYE).

In 2024, Chloé was honoured to receive the Adult Social Worker of the Year Award, at a national awards celebration in London and was invited to a reception at the Houses of Parliament, celebrating the award winners.

Teaching

I currently teach on a range of modules across the undergraduate course:

• BA1 - Lifecourse
• BA1 - Introduction to Professional Learning and Development
• BA1 - Introduction to Law, Policy and Safeguarding
• BA2 - Understanding Contemporary Society: Key Concepts - Module Lead
• BA2 - Social Work with Adults
• P/G- Practice Education
• P/G Dip Social Work Apprenticeship

I deliver safeguarding sessions to other programmes, including Paramedic Science and Health and Social Care. I have delivered teaching to Paramedic students on working with Adult's with Learning Disabilities.
