International Visiting Scholars
At Keele, we have a proud tradition of interdisciplinary education, and for making student learning powerfully relevant to society’s challenges.
Drawing together expert educational teams and consultants from across the university, The Keele Institute for Innovation and Teaching Excellence (KIITE) is home to a vibrant community of student education innovators: academic developers, student learning experts, learning technologists and employability consultants.
This community of expertise has been brought together to design new curricula for our students, support student development, shape researcher development and design a co-curriculum that links students to civic society and the workplace.
We are inviting applications from international visiting scholars who would like to spend time at KIITE and participate in scholarly activities and events, particularly related to pedagogical innovation and teaching excellence.
Keele is a warm, international inclusive community and we strive to create a research environment which is globally-aware and ‘without borders’. The campus is an inspirational space to think, write and create and our visitors are encouraged to immerse themselves in university life.
During your time as a visiting scholar, you may wish to:
- conduct independent research using secondary sources, write papers and participate in scholarly events (research may be subject to ethics clearance);
- Explore teaching enhancement activities;
- Access the university library;
- Audit classes (subject to availability);
- Attend seminars and other events organised by staff.
