Biography
Salih Dogan is a researcher on International Relations and Political Science with particular reference to Security Studies, Eurasia and South Asia. His main fields of interest are Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Central Asian countries, Taliban, Al-Qaeda, International Security and Terrorism. He also has a keen interest in Turkish Politics, Turkish Foreign Policy, Kurdish Issue, and PKK.
He has worked at the Center for Security Studies and Center for Eurasian Studies at USAK (International Strategic Research Organization), Ankara-based Turkish think-tank, for more than two years before coming to the UK. He worked as project coordinator, researcher/expert and managing editor during his work at USAK.
Currently Salih is a PhD student within the School of Politics and International Relations (http://www.keele.ac.uk/spire/) at Keele University, United Kingdom. He also holds a Research Assistant position at Turgut Özal University in Ankara, Turkey (http://www.turgutozal.edu.tr/). He lives in Ankara, Turkey and Birmingham, UK.
