Keele researchers produce film with ITN to signpost arthritis patients to support services
Working together with patients, Keele's Impact Accelerator Unit and Clinical Trials Unit, researchers from the School of Medicine have produced a new information film to help patients with arthritis access support and services to improve their treatment.
Working alongside ITN’s Business division, the team have produced the film which has been released today to mark World Arthritis Day.
The programme, titled “Joint Health”, features - a patient explanation package developed by Keele researchers called "Osteoarthritis and You", which aims to de-mystify the condition and provide patients with good quality information to support them to self-manage their symptoms.
The package has an animation and a leaflet, which have been produced with patients and are based on research from a study called PEP OA, carried out at Keele University.
Professor Clare Jinks, one of the researchers involved in the programme, said: “So that we can continually improve these resources for patients, we are looking for feedback from people with and without osteoarthritis - regardless of age - to tell us what they think. If you would like to help, please go to https://www.keele.ac.uk/oa/feedback.”
You can find a link to the full programme on the Keele website.
