Graduation guest information

We understand that for many guests, it may be your first time at a graduation or indeed at Keele University. Here is some information specific for you.

Graduands may book up to two guest tickets for seating within the Chapel* and two guest tickets for the Live Stream Theatre.

Chapel guest tickets are priced at £20 each and include:

  • Admission to the graduation ceremony within the Chapel**
  • Admission to the post-ceremony Graduation Reception at Keele Hall and includes 1 x complimentary drink and 1 x sweet treat.

*Children over the age of three will require a ticket.

**Guests are seated on a first come first serve basis on the day. If any guests have access requirements, we ask that students let us know when they register.

Live Stream Theatre guest tickets are free of charge and provide admission to a live stream of the ceremony in one of the University’s lecture theatres.

Please note:

  • These tickets do not include admission to the Graduation Reception at Keele Hall.
  • Graduation Reception-only tickets will be available to book when additional tickets are released (subject to availability).

Following the initial booking period, any unallocated tickets for either the Chapel or Live Stream Theatre will be released for graduands to book, subject to availability.

Additional tickets will be available for graduands to book between 09:00 on Wednesday 24 June to 17:00 on Friday 26 June 2026 on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Guest tickets for the Chapel will remain priced at £20 each.
  • Live Stream Theatre tickets will remain free of charge.
  • A limited number of Graduation Reception-only tickets will also be released at £10 each for guests attending the Live Stream Theatre who wish to join the Graduation Reception at Keele Hall. The ticket includes 1 x complimentary drink and 1 x sweet treat.

Please note, guests without a ticket for the Graduation Reception are more than welcome to celebrate with their graduate in Keele Hall grounds. There will be food and drink to purchase in Keele Hall grounds.

Graduation ceremonies are formal occasions and may last for two hours. They are therefore not really suitable for children under school age. However, we understand that it is not always possible to make alternative arrangements or that graduates would like their child there as they graduate. If there is a guest under 5 within your party, you may be asked to sit at the end of an aisle or near an exit so that the child can be taken outside should they become restless. We would appreciate your co-operation in this matter.

Alternatively, you may prefer to watch a live broadcast of the ceremony on keele.ac.uk/livekeele.

Please note that all guests, including children over 3, must be in possession of a ticket.

To enquire about childcare on the day at our on-site nursery, please email gradoffice@keele.ac.uk no later than Friday 19 June 2026.

We ask that graduands let us know if any guests have access requirements when they register. However, if you would like to contact us directly to discuss, please email gradoffice@keele.ac.uk by Friday 19 June 2026.

Monday 13 – Thursday 16 July:
09:30, 11:15, 14:00, 15:45

Friday 17 July:
09:30, 11:15, 14:00

Graduands are asked to be at the Chapel at least 45 minutes before their ceremony time. The earlier guests arrive at the Chapel, the more available seating choices you will have.

We know that some family and friends won’t be able to attend on this special day, but they can still share this moment by watching the ceremony live on our webcast. This service will allow loved ones to feel more involved in the celebrations – wherever they are.

The live stream will be available during each ceremony. Simply log on to keele.ac.uk/livekeele.

The Harper & Keele Veterinary School graduation will take place in September 2026. The graduation ceremony will take place at Harper Adams University.

More information will follow from Harper Adams University in due course.
