On 3rd and 4th March we're holding our first-ever Giving Day!

Together we will celebrate Keele and create lasting global impact. This 36-hour fundraising challenge will bring together the whole Keele community to celebrate and champion the Together Fund.

For those on campus on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 March 2026, you are most welcome to take part in the following activities - just drop in (there's the option to pre-book to the macrame session).

Tuesday 3 March

     
from 10am-5:10pm Sports Clubs have-a-go and musical performances Union Square

Drop by Union Square to:

Have a go at keepy-uppy challenges with Men's/Women's Football (from 10am)

Shoot some hoops with Keele Basketball (from 12pm)

Watch a pom jazz routine from Panther's Cheerleading (12pm)!

2-4pm Crafts with the Craft Society Large table by window, SU ground floor Drop by to take part in crafts, courtesy of the Craft Soc!
Throughout the day Guerilla poetry Central campus As you go about your day, keep your eyes open for poetry written by first year students on the theme of philanthropy. Snap a photo and add #KeeleGivingDay to your socials to be in the running for a locally-made mug!
Overnight Forest of Light Union Square The Forest of Light will be lit up in a different colour than usual, as a reminder that alumni around the world will be contributing to Giving Day throughout the night!

Wednesday 4 March

     
11:30am-12pm Rowing challenge Union Square Watch our Vice Chancellor, Prof Kevin Shakesheff, compete against the the Boat Club!
12-1:30pm Make & Meet SU ground floor, or head to Union Square in sunny weather! Pop into the SU for a Make & Meet session to make a free macrame keyring.

12-2pm Dog therapy SU ground floor (next to Chatterbox) or head to Union Square in sunny weather! We all know canine company is great for our wellbeing - drop by to say hello to a friendly dog!
3-5pm Iron Ladies: film screening and Q&A DH0.021, Dorothy Hodgkin building Join us for a special screening of Iron Ladies, followed by an in‑depth conversation with filmmaker Dan Draper and activist Rose Hunter. Find out more
