Central Science Laboratories
Value: £25.5 million (including equipment). Project completed: September 2019.

The project was a key part of a £42 Million investment in the University’s Faculty of Natural Science facilities which started with the newly completed extension to the Huxley building.
Work began in 2017 on the state-of-the-art Central Science Laboratories (CSL) building. The new laboratories provide Keele with additional world-class facilities, and underpin the ambitious growth plans in science teaching and research.
The Central Science Laboratories comprises of a four-floor state-of-the-art-building for both undergraduates and postgraduates. It houses new open-plan teaching and research laboratories, IT provision, and student social learning spaces. The laboratories are linked to the existing Lennard-Jones building, with a central glass corridor providing vistas right through the building.
