Athena Swan self-assessment and action
The Athena Swan charter awards require applicant organisations to carry out a self-assessment process in order to understand gender inequalities and factors relevant to their context. Self-assessment is carried out through data analysis, surveys and within EDI group discussions informed by staff from across all academic areas and professional services. More information on the groups and main leads for equity, diversity and inclusion can be found on our Intranet pages (existing staff only). External enquiries should be through our contact page.
Self-assessment results in an action plan which is normally valid for a period of 5 years.
