Resources for worship at home
If you are unable to join others for worship in person, there are many ways in which you can participate in worship at home. Here are just a few places you might start:
Resources and worship from our partner denominations:
- Mass is being livestreamed from churches all over the world, so you can usually find a service starting soon.
- The Church of England publishes liturgy for daily prayers and services, and there is a short prayer every day that you can read or listen to.
- There are resources from the Baptist Church for prayer and worship at home.
- The Methodist Church has made its weekly service available as a Word document, and morning prayer each day. They are also livestreaming worship from Wesley’s Chapel in London – you can watch past services there or join in live at these times: Wednesday 12:45, Thursday 12:45 and Sunday 9:45 and 11:00.
- You can listen to Daily Devotions from the United Reformed Church.
Other Resources:
- The brothers of the Taize community often livestream their services on their Facebook page – you can watch live or see previous services at any time.
- The Student Christian Movement (SCM) have a host of resources for prayer, for Bible Study and for personal devotions.
- A daily Bible reflection – they are a series but each one stands alone so you can dip in and out if you prefer.
- Liturgies for daily prayers with the Northumbria Community.
- Some engaging sermons from a Lutheran church in Denver.
- There are playlists of hymns and worship songs on YouTube – some of the contemporary composers that feature at TEN:15 include Keith and Kristyn Getty, Stuart Townend and Rend Collective. If you prefer more traditional hymns there are some with lyrics here and here.
- There are some links to songs for times of tragedy or fear on this site, and lots of further resources here.
