Keele Business School leaders invited to discuss work in Parliament
Leaders from Keele Business School were invited to Parliament this week to showcase the School’s impact on society in a meeting with the local MP.
Adam Jogee, MP for Newcastle-under-Lyme, welcomed Dr Scott Bambrick, Professor Samir Dani, Dr Tolu Olarewaju and Jo Sylvester to the House of Commons to discuss the School’s work on initiatives to connect students with businesses and the wider community, as well as its outreach and widening participation work.
The visit was particularly focused on the School’s ICAN initiative, established by Dr Olarewaju, which seeks to inspire learners from communities with historically low university progression, encouraging them to explore higher education and their own entrepreneurial ambitions.
The Keele delegates also spoke with Mr Jogee and other Members of Parliament about Keele Business School’s research clusters, employability strategy, and their support for SMEs through initiatives like business innovation clinics held at Keele in Town, and delivering the Government-funded Help To Grow Management Programme.
