Prunus 'Matsumae-yaekotobuki'

Selected and raised by Mr Masatoshi Asari in Matsumae at the southern tip of Hokkaido , northern Japan in 1963 by hybridizing P. ‘Ito-kukuri’ with P. ‘Kechimiyaku-zakura’.

A very floriferous cherry with blush-white medium to large-sized semi-double flowers, mid-season. Young foliage is bronze-coloured.
