Prunus 'Matsumae-yae-miyama-zakura'
Sato-zakura Group
Selected and raised by Mr Masatoshi Asari in Matsumae at the southern tip of Hokkaido, northern Japan in 1964 from hybridising P. ‘Miyama-zakura’ with P. ‘Gasazama-nioi’.
Small, white, semi-double flowers, early to mid-season. Young foliage is bronzy-green coloured. Shows good autumn colour.
