Prunus 'Matsumae-yae-goromo'
Sato-zakura Group
Selected and raised by Mr Masatoshi Asari in Matsumae at the southern tip of Hokkaido, northern Japan in 1962 from P. ‘Botan-zakura’ and P.’Naden’ (aka P.’Matsumae-hayazaki’).
Single or semi-double medium-sized, pale pink flowers that darken with age, early season. Young foliage is bronze-coloured. Colours well in autumn.
