Prunus Matsumae-tama-gaki

Selected and raised by Mr Masatoshi Asari in Matsumae at the southern tip of Hokkaido, northern Japan in 1966 by hybridizing P.’Itsukayama’ and P. ‘Kokonoe’.

A wide, spreading tree which is very floriferous. Young foliage is green. Smallish white single flowers whose petal tips are fringed.
